How does CMC works in the oil industry

Mud with CMC or PAC is stable and can effectively reduce water loss even at temperature above 150℃. In addition to this, CMC and PAC as good stabilizers can help prolong the stable life of drilling mud, and also resist the damage of mud and bit which is caused by various soluble salts.
